Load It Right: Safe Tractor & Equipment Transportation
Transporting tractors and equipment safely is critical for protecting operators, the public, and the equipment itself. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate best practices for loading, positioning, and securing compact tractors and attachments for road transport. Participants will learn directly from Concord Tractor’s service manager, Abbott Presby, a retired New Hampshire State Trooper who specialized in federal motor carrier compliance and commercial motor vehicle safety. Drawing from years of field experience in enforcement and accident investigation, he will share practical recommendations for safe equipment transport. During the session, a truck and trailer loaded with a tractor will be used for a live demonstration. Participants will observe proper loading techniques, proper use of anchor points, attachment securement, and other considerations. The demonstration will highlight common mistakes, explain why they create risk, and show simple adjustments that improve safety and compliance. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about regulations, best practices, and real-world scenarios they encounter when transporting equipment. This session is designed to give participants practical knowledge they can immediately apply to safely transport their own equipment and help promote safer roads for everyone.

Celebrating Semiquincentennial Farms: Stewardship and Legacy
The New Hampshire State Department of Agriculture published a report for the Nation’s bicentennial, “200 Years on the Land,” and featured farms that have been in the same family for at least 200 years. In 1976 there were 54 farms listed, and today only a small percentage are still legacy farms. For the Nation’s 250th, we are celebrating farms that are now semiquincentennial farms and speaking with their owners at the Expo. Join John C. Porter, UNH Extension Professor/Specialist, Emeritus as he moderates a panel discussion with Heidi Bundy, Tomapo Farm, Lebanon, Tom Osborne, Osborne Farm, Pittsfield, and Susan Cole, Ascutney View Farm, Lebanon. Learn about the state’s Bicentennial Farm Program, and how these long-standing family farms have sustained operations for centuries.

Commitment to Organic Grain Distilling
How we create a full-flavored spirit through the use of only organic grains and environmental sustainability in mind. When we first opened our doors in December 2020, we were learning and developing new practices in a trade that spans over 4,000 years. The one thing we would not change is our dedication to being certified organic and our commitment to the environment. By partnering with organic farmers, we were able to not only source our grains locally but also find a use for the spent grains to feed livestock. By utilizing these practices, we believe our customers can take a sip of our spirit with pride, knowing we have done what we can to create a unique product with a reduced environmental impact, unlike other producers. This message will be conveyed in words via a lecture from assistant distiller Tyler Foran.
